Description

Description

The application covers actions relating to area 1 “European profiling on the structure of the Top tier MNE groups” and area 2 “European Profiling on the structure and statistical units ‘enterprise’ of the Top tier MNE groups”. The EGR makes a major contribution to the identification of and information gathering on important multinational groups. To fulfil and further shape the requirements both on the user side and on the SBR side, it is necessary to profile more and more MNE groups over time. “European profiling on the structure of the Top tier MNE groups” contributes to this task. Statistics Austria will participate accordingly and, as in the previous year, profile 10 GDC groups with regard to their global structure. In addition, at least 50 partner tasks will be carried out as well as the UCI information will be updated for RY2025 to improve the quality of the EGR initial frame 2025 and the EGR in general. As concerns area 2, the proposal suggests continuing Statistics Austria’s efforts in profiling large and complex multinational enterprise groups (MNEs) by profiling one intensive and two light cases in the course of 2025 for the reference period 2024. At the same time, it is expected that some 45 partner cases will be executed. For both tasks (GDC and partner profiling) the current methodology of European profiling will be applied. Results will be fed into the EGR by using the IPT. In addition, compiling recommendations and suggestions shall be collected to be fed into the preparation of future profiling programmes. Moreover, UCI information on analysed GEGs for RY2025 will be updated and transmitted to improve the quality of the EGR initial frame 2025 and the EGR in general. Area 1 will be executed by the Business register team and Area 2 will be executed by the profiling team of the Structural Business Statistics unit. Both areas are carried out in close consultation and cooperation with all other relevant units of the NSI.
