This proposal aims at answering the work packages 1 (implementation of the 2023 LFS eight-yearly variables on ‘pension and labour market participation’), 2 (development and improvement of the LFS) and 3 (improvement of the coverage, timeliness, precision and reporting of the LMB statistics) of the call for proposal. Work-package 1: Implementation of the 2023 LFS eight-yearly variables on ‘pension and labour market participation’ The present project aims at fulfilling the European objective at the national level with the highest degree of comparability with other national modules, by faithfully following the Eurostat model questionnaire. There is full integration of the regular module to the French Labor Force Survey. Work-package 2: Development and improvement of the LFS The present project aims at integrating Mayotte into the LFS in order to be fully compliant with IESS. It is planned to cover this new territory starting January 2024, including the hiring of dedicated staff. The main goal is to integrate the Department of Mayotte (newest French department, integrated since 2011) the same way the other overseas departments were integrated in 2014. ILO indicators for Mayotte are actually produced by an annual survey that does not satisfy the IESS regulation. Work-package 3: Improvement of the coverage, timeliness, precision and reporting of the LMB statistics The project aims to study the opportunity and then to develop a systematic exploitation of new administrative sources (the nominative social declarations – “Déclarations sociales nominatives” DSN in French) with two objectives : I. To extend the coverage of the French SES data to micro enterprises (less than ten employees) - not covered at present and required in the framework of the future European LMB regulation; II. To partly substitute these administrative data for the SES and LCS data currently collected in France via a statistical survey and thus reduce the response burden for the respondents.
