Description | Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa (HCB) has awarded ANDRITZ a contract for the rehabilitation of the Cahora Bassa hydropower plant, the largest hydropower plant in Mozambique and one of the largest in Africa. The project aims to enhance the efficiency, reliability, availability, and maintainability of the plant, increasing turbine capacity by more than 4%. ANDRITZ will supply new generators, turbine runners, control and protection systems, and hydromechanical structures, including design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning. |
