Description

Description

Phase V of the program for the rehabilitation of Serbian district heating systems is intended to make a further contribution to the technical and institutional modernization of municipal district heating companies (Toplanas) in Serbia. The objectives and implementation concept provide for a high degree of continuity with Phase IV, which is currently being implemented. Heating plants, distribution networks and transfer stations of selected Toplanas are to be rehabilitated or newly built and necessary institutional reforms are to be further advanced. The program's goal is a more efficient and sustainable supply of district heating to consumers connected to the district heating network. This is intended to contribute to improving the living conditions of the Serbian population and to environmental and climate protection by reducing CO2 and pollutant emissions. A low-interest loan of up to EUR 30 million is to be made available for financing within the framework of the Federal Financial Cooperation.
