Rehabilitation of Existing 1500mm Concrete Storm Sewer and Outfall on Armstrong Avenue

The existing 1500mm diameter concrete trunk storm sewer pipe and outfall is in need of critical repair due to a broken pipe, undermining of base from erosion of the bank, and overall deterioration of pipe condition and outfall structure. Proposed rehabilitation consists of approximately 75.0 meters of trenchless technology through storm sewer lining repair including improvements to outfall structure. By repairing the existing pipe leak, further erosion of the base and bank will be addressed. This will improve the health and safety and environmental conditions; reduce flooding risk through the rehabilitation of the sewer pipe and outfall; and extend the lifecycle of the trunk sewer pipe and outfall structure assets. The trunk storm sewer pipe and outfall structure services a catchment area of approximately 75 hectares consisting of industrial land uses. The project would be integrated with the proposed road reconstruction occurring on Armstrong Avenue.
