Removal of accumulated sediment to improve functionality of the storm water pond. Sediment removal also improves water quality in receiving watershed. Given that a majority of the targeted ponds are in commercial and light industrial locations there will be a strong likelihood that the pond cleanouts will be extremely beneficial in improving the surrounding watersheds. The removal works are capitalized as they extend the life of the asset. Additional site preparations, including purchase of gravel for road construction, were required to allow heavy equipment to access the site. Additional gravel helped address wetter than usual site conditions.
