Rehabilitation of Huron Street Watermain

The project will rehabilitate a watermain in Thessalon, Ontario. The work will involve: replacing approximately 290 metres of watermain on Main Street along with about 20 water service lines and around three fire hydrants; reconstructing approximately 290 metres of storm sewer and sanitary sewer lines, about 12 storm system catch basins, around one storm system manhole and approximately four sewer system manholes; and installing about 20 sanitary sewer services. In addition, the affected roadway and sidewalks will be reinstated. The project will fund improvements to local water pipes, which will increase access to potable water by increasing the reliability and capacity of the transmission infrastructure.
