Rehabilitation of Joal Al-Msareef Irrigation Canal

The project involves the reconstruction of the Joal Al-Msareef irrigation canal in Al-Mosaymer District, Lahj Governorate, Yemen. It includes excavation works, construction of stone masonry walls with cement mortar, and stone-cement lining along a 100-metre section of the canal. Protection works and a side overflow weir were also introduced to manage excess water during heavy rainfall and reduce flood damage. The rehabilitated canal supports 95 farmers and protects approximately 76,440 square meters of agricultural land, improving water management and agricultural stability.
