Rehabilitation of SAva river WAterway - Section Račinovci to Sisak

"The project covers the preparation of documentation and studies for the upgrade works of the Račinovci–Sisak section between km 329 to 315 and km 312 to 300 on the Sava River. The studies will not cover the section located between Jaruge–Novi Grad. The objective will be to achieve a class IV navigability, as part of the ""Rehabilitation and Development of Transport and Navigation on the Sava River Waterway"" Global Project. The project is located on the natural border between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is part of the TEN-T inland waterway network. The general objectives are: - Improve the Sava River for navigation to meet the minimum requirements prescribed by the European Agreement on Main Inland Waterways of International Importance (AGN), - To enable the Sava River's navigable route to reach its full development potential, contributing to the overall development of the inland navigation sector in the Republic of Croatia and the European Union, - Ensure continuity of the TEN-T network between an EU Member State and an EU candidate country. To deliver on its objectives, the project covers the preparation of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), the update of the feasibility study and the completion of the preliminary and final designs to fulfil the requirements of the TEN-T network The deliverables of the project will lead to the next phase which is obtention of the construction permits necessary for the start of the works."
