Rehabilitation of the Glasgow Street South Bridge in Conestogo

The project involves the rehabilitation of a bridge spanning approximately 0.08 km over the Conestogo River in Woolwich Township, Ontario. The scope of the project includes the replacement of roller pins, concrete repairs to abutments, piers and wingwalls, the addition of scour and erosion protection around the piers, the installation of steel girder guardrails on both sides of the approaches, the replacement of bridge components, timber deck, corroded stringers and bracing on the south underside, the installation of additional tension cables and the repair of the top chord at all load-bearing points. The aim of the project is to increase the bridge’s load limit and extend its useful life.
