Rehabilitation of the Lakefield Water System

The project will rehabilitate 730 metres of watermains and a standpipe in Selwyn, Ontario. The work will involve replacing about 550 metres of watermain along Strickland Street and approximately 180 metres of watermain along Prospect Street. In addition, the Lakefield standpipe will be recommissioned. The project will fund improvements to reservoirs, which will increase access to potable water by increasing the safety and durability of the water storage infrastructure. The project will also fund improvements to transmission pipes, which will increase access to potable water by increasing the reliability and capacity of the transmission infrastructure.
