Description | The project will rehabilitate the Longlac Water Treatment Plant in Greenstone, Ontario. The work will involve refurbishing two filters, upgrading a pressure/air scour backwash system, conducting structural analyses of the plant floor and west wall, installing a garage door to support installation of new filters, expanding the driveway to connect to the garage door, relocating the natural gas line, upgrading control systems, replacing water treatment components (automatic delivery system, chlorinator actuator), and enhancing monitoring and alarm systems. The project will fund improvements to water treatment facilities, which will increase access to potable water by increasing the reliability and efficiency of the water treatment infrastructure. |
