Rehabilitation of water, sewer and road infrastructure on Plaunt Street (Phase2) from Railway Avenue to dead end

The Plaunt Street (Phase 2) rehabilitation is a priority project identified in the Town of Renfrew’s Asset Management Plan. The project limits are Railway Street to the north end of Plaunt Street North. The project includes replacement of tuberculated cast iron watermains and sanitary sewers that have surpassed their useful life. The project benefits include: improved drinking water quality and reliability, improving hydraulic capacity of the water distribution system and reducing infiltration of groundwater into the sanitary collection system which contributes to unwanted extraneous flows entering the Towns modern wastewater treatment plant.
