Description

Description

Founded in 2011, Condor is a French film distribution company whose editorial line spans from prestigious arthouse films showcased at major international festivals to elevated genre titles. Our catalogue includes works by acclaimed directors such as Kelly Reichardt, Joanna Hogg, Casey Affleck, Agnieszka Holland, Benh Zeitlin, Paul Schrader, Denis Villeneuve, Debra Granik, Michel Franco, Charlotte Wells, and Ira Sachs. Through bold and inventive marketing campaigns, Condor has consistently succeeded in amplifying the theatrical potential of films often considered niche or modest in scale (e.g., SHORT TERM 12, LITTLE MEN, ENEMY, THOSE WHO WORK, LIGHT OF MY LIFE, GARETH JONES, ZERO FUCKS GIVEN, VESPER SEEDS, AFTERSUN, JOYLAND, DIE WANNSEEKONFERENZ, UPON ENTRY, PUAN, etc.). As part of the 2025 MEDIA “European Film Distribution” call, we are submitting our reinvestment strategy for European films. We propose to reinvest the grant in co-productions, minimum guarantees, and release costs (P&A) for our upcoming European titles. With this reinvestment plan, our ambition is to strengthen our long-term commitment to European cinema by actively contributing to its development and visibility in the French market. Our approach is driven by two key priorities: supporting our European filmmakers and championing emerging talents, particularly first- and second-time directors. Over the course of this programme, we aim to support 4 to 6 European films, each targeting between 50,000 and 300,000 theatrical admissions.
