RELANCE DU SECTEUR AGRICOLE

The present intervention is about the loan for the agricultural revival program. It's part of the adjustment program in agriculture and the measures needed to put an end to stagnation. This loan covers only two (2) crop years or 3 years and consists only of financing the foreign exchange cost of imports of inputs and equipment essential for the agricultural sector. It should make it possible to provide farmers with the essential factors of production that promote productivity and growth in the sector, improve the use of resources and finally achieve a better level of coherence in agricultural policies. The main components of the program are: (a) fertilizers; (b) agricultural machinery and spare parts; (c) seeds; (d) livestock feeds; (e) pesticides and veterinary products; and (f) petroleum products.
