Description | Reliance Airport Developers Private Limited (RPL) was awarded the operation and expansion of five private airports in Maharashtra under 95 year concession in early 2009. Airports at Nanded, Latur, Yavatmal, Baramati and Osmanabad in Maharashtra. About 30 chartered flights operating per month at all 5 airports. Of all the tenders submitted for the bid, the highest had come from Reliance Airport Developers Ltd, which is Rs.270 million for Yavatmal, Nanded and Latur airports and a Rs.320 million for the Baramati and Osmanabad airports. The total offer for the five airpors was INR630 million (US$13 million). The bids had been called for the development and maintenance of the all the private airports. Reliance took over the operation of the airports in November 2010. |
