Description | Reliance Industries Limited plans to invest ₹1.6 lakh crore to build a massive 1.5 GW AI-focused data centre cluster in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The project includes a captive solar and battery storage system and aims to position India as a global AI hub while boosting digital infrastructure, jobs, and clean energy growth. The data centre cluster will be developed in three phases, with the first 500 MW at Polipalli village scheduled for completion by October 2028, and the remaining 1 GW at Bhogapuram East and West scheduled for completion by 2030. |
