Description | Information Water Resources Deparetment, Punjab has come up with Relining of Rajasthan Feeder from RD 179000 to 496000 with a ticket size of 1687.36 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is - and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Government of India approved the project of Relining Rajasthan Feeder [RD 179000 to 496000] in the year 2016, to be implemented by Government of Punjab. Relining of Rajasthan Feeder envisages to save 560 cusec of water leading to stabilization/ improvement of irrigation in 98,739 ha. of area in Rajasthan. Completion of relining works would address water-logging in 84800 Ha of land in Muktsar, Faridkot and Ferozepur districts in South-West Punjab. Total Cost of the Project [2022] Rs. 1687.36 crore Eligible Central Assistance Rs 726.393 crore Central Assistance Rs. 400.478 Cr. for Rajasthan Feeder till 09/2023 has been released. Physical progress- 70.00 percentage Ultimate Irrigation Potential is 98739 Ha Irrigation Potential created till September 2023 is 82367 Ha. Projected Date of Completion - June 2024 |
