Relocation and Replacement of Membrane Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) at the Little Current Water Treatment Plant

Due to high levels of moisture and corrosion, the location of the current membrane system of the programmable logic controller (PLC) has resulted in the PLC cards (input, output and communication) to become heavily corroded which has lead to numerous instances of loss of communication. This loss of communication results in low chlorine residuals and low clear well levels. In order to correct the problem the PLC needs to be replaced and relocated to an area of the water plant which is not subject to high moisture and corrosive chemical atmosphere.
