Description | The Los Altos Wind Power Project was a 50 MW wind farm to be located in Baja California (Jalisco), Mexico. The developer Regeneracion Electrica Mexicana SA sined an OEM agreement with Vestas for 28 units of its 1.8 MW turbines. The sponsor was granted an authorization from the Mexican regulatory agency CRE in January 2013, and created the special purpose company Eolica Los Altos SAPI de CV to lead the project. Investment in the project was estimated at US$ 54.8 million (Pesos 700 million).
