Renewable Energy Projects on Farms

under policy review and funding cutbacks

Renewable Energy Farmers of America is a new organization created to educate farmers on negotiating land leases for renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, or high-voltage transmission lines. The project involves installing solar arrays on farms to help farmers reduce energy costs and supplement income through leasing land for renewable energy. The USDA has recently rolled back funding for solar projects on farmland and banned the use of USDA dollars to buy solar panels made in China, affecting the development of these projects.
