Description | The RIGS Energy Atlantic project is an electricity grid support facility and dispatchable power generation solution planned for southeastern New Brunswick. It is designed to provide stability to New Brunswick's electrical system by operating primarily as a synchronous condenser to provide grid inertia and fast-response power generation when needed. The facility will deliver up to 500 MW of backup power, capable of burning natural gas, low-sulphur diesel, and a blend of hydrogen to support renewable energy integration and reduce emissions. |
