"Comment renforcer notre citoyenneté européenne Antoine de St Exupéry Middle School is an institution whose name involves our implication in the mobility and discovery of Europe. All teaching, programmes and knowledge passed on to our pupils has a link with Europe. Nevertheless our teaching teams lack sometimes a link, consistency and a main theme. Of course we deal with interdisciplinarity in our teaching however the project ‘Jean Monnet Action programme’ will enable us to deepen and develop a true European culture within a team mobilized around art, aesthetics and the desire to make students grow by developing autonomy, curiosity, «learning differently». Besides the compulsory programme we wish to develop the artistic approach in order to train young curious and enlightened pupils.They must understand that Europe is both within and outside the school’s walls. Having obtained the Erasmus + label in 2023, we especially want to increase our willingness for an open relationship with Europe by the means of this funding enabling us to develop our intention to transform the Middle School into a resolutely European one. Since this year ‘Discovery of Europe’ is part of the institution’s project and therefore it should be on everyone’s mind , with Antoine de St Exupéry inspiring us. As soon as they enter the college, we plan to offer them a ""European passport"", nurtured with the foundations and values of Europe associated with art, in the classroom and in the Europe club, to work in depth on the history of arts and visual arts for 4 years, but also in their mobility which we want to be active thus with e-twinning for every pupil . A project that unites in the diversity of backgrounds and and pupils of mixed backgrounds, with SEGPA ( Section of general and vocational teaching), who know little about European culture. At the end of Middle School they will most be certainly be ambassadors of Europe."
