Description

Green Agro Service LLC, a subsidiary of Swiss firm Rengy Development, developed the 4.5 MW Porogi solar plant, Vinnitsya Region. Annual output was expected tob e 5.37 GWh. The project consisted of 18,348 solar PV modules. Martifer Solar, subsidiary of Martifer Group, acted as EPC contractor of the project. Construction started in Summer of 2012 and the project was commissioned in November 2012. Output was transferred to the 110kV distribution grid via a 110/35/10kV substation and 100m long 10kV aerial transmission line - sold under the Green Tariff Law. The national utility, Energy Company of Ukraine, is a state-owned enterprise with a subsidiary by region. The Ukraine maintained a feed-in tariff for solar of UAH 4.8 (US$0.58), which was lowered to UAH 3.5 (US$0.43) in 2012. Tariff was guaranteed in EURO until 2030, paid in UAH. The project reached financial closure in October 2012. The project was financed by EBRD with a EUR5.7 million package (US$7.46 million), consisting of a EUR4.1 8 year tranche for the EBRD and a EUR1.6 million 15 year tranche from the Clean Technology Fund. http://www.rengydevelopment.com.ua/files/Porogi%20NTS-eng.pdf http://www.rengydevelopment.com.ua/projects-porogi.html
