(Obrainsa - 50%; Peruana de Energia - 20%) announced the development of the Renovandes H1 Hydroelectric Plant, located in the department of Junin, Chanchamayo provice (20 MW in capacity). The sponsor was granted a 20-year power purchase agreement to sell electricity to the grid for US$ 53.9/MWh. The investment was estimated at US$ 58.8 million. Generacion Electrica Santa Ana contracted the Spanish company Cobra Infraestructura Hidraulica to build the project. The construction works started in October 2014, and commercial operations were scheduled to commence in October 2016. As of December 2015, 35% of the construction works had been concluded. |
