Renovation of the 2000 Berri building

Numerous studies carried out between 2002 and 2014 identified problems with the composition of the building’s exterior wall, which was causing significant water and air infiltration. The project involves completely replacing the envelope, the windows on all four façades of the building, upgrading the building’s mechanical and electrical systems, bringing the toilet blocks up to standard, and partially refitting the work areas on all seven floors. The building houses company functions that are essential to the logistics, operation and running of the network. The building is not dedicated to housing the administrative functions of the Sociéte de transport de Montréal (STM). More specifically, but without being limited to this list, the deliverables specifically planned as part of the component of the project to be financed by the Public Transit Infrastructure Fund are as follows: - demolition and reconstruction work on the façades of the 2000 Berri building - Interior fit-out work on the 2000 Berri building
