Renovation of the Damien-Hétu sports center

The project consists of carrying out works that will allow an upgrade of this infrastructure, inaugurated in 1975, which houses an indoor swimming pool and ice rink. The town of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts is the owner and operator of the property. The following elements will also be the subject of work: • Refrigeration system and new slab; • Heating, insulation, air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, electricity, lighting; • Redevelopment of the spaces (players’ room, staff room, office of sports associations, office of the swimming pool); • Installation of security systems (gang doors, surveillance cameras, exterior automatic barrier); • Interior coating, painting (players’ room, corridors, structure, platforms, walkways, swimming pool, restaurant); • Expansion of garages and installation of a snow pit; • Development of a shed to store chemicals and pool activity equipment; • Universal accessibility (access to bleachers, swimming pool and changing rooms); • Repair of the roof; • Sound system, changing lockers. This project will allow the city of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts to provide its population with better quality recreational infrastructure and improve access to it.
