Description

Description

Repair and/or replace 5 curb valves that are no longer working. The project includes Hydrova services that cost approximately $1000 per valve if we do more than one the same day. The valve itself is approximately four hundred per unit. The remaining valves will be checked and repaired as needed. After completion of the work, our distribution system will be safer and if an incident happens, it will affect less people. Replacing the curb valves that are not functioning properly increases the safety of our resident infrastructure in case of a break. Also because we detected some leaks in the past when we worked on repairing curb valves, replacing valves will reduce water consumption. Furthermore, in case of pump failure at the plant that causes low pressure in the system, good working curb valves decrease the risk of contamination.
