Repair of the masonry wall

The project consists of the restoration of the wall surrounding the site of the General Hospital of Quebec to ensure the safety of users nearby and preserve the historical value of the site and the work. More specificly. the project provides for the following interventions: • Where the wall is heavily tilted and dumped, disassemble and rebuild the wall to its full thickness and add a new reinforced concrete foundation, below the current ground level. • Where the stability of the wall is adequate, restore the siding of stone, that is to say replace the weathered stones, empty the mortar joints and re-pointing of the siding.
