Repair/Replace 20 Curb Stops Within the Water Distribution System

This project will repair/replace 20 curb stops ensuring functional valves to provide smoother operation and to allow the municipality to better manage the water distribution system. At present a large number of curbstops are non-functional which becomes an issue when services need to be connected or disconnected. Improved environmental outcome: Control and management of treated water; Reduction of waste of treated water; Reduction of contamination to ground due to current leaks and reduce the amount of water and energy needed for production to make up for any losses. As a result, less treatment chemicals are used; reduction of ground excavating due to current water leaks and reduction of the water wasted to drain a water main to perform repairs.
