Replace (2) 2006 Eldorado (Unit #700& #702) with new 30’ Conventional Low Floor Accessible Buses to enhance service reliability and ridership demands

The purchase of 2 new 30’ Conventional Buses will increase the service reliability by decreasing downtime currently faced by the continued repair and maintenance of Colltrans’ aging fleet. Collingwood’s current fleet size does not satisfy the proper ability to maintain the strict preventative maintenance schedules required to keep the current aging units in service. The addition of new rolling stock will not only reduce the effect on passengers, but will also allow for reduced operational costs associated with maintenance of the older fleet. Transit growth is also expected within the service area in the upcoming years, and the addition of new vehicles with aid from the Federal funding program will assist in the growth plan for the transit system.
