• The project consists of the replacement of a new Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) system on buses in the Brampton transit fleet. This would improve data reliability, operational tracking, interfacing with other systems, system capacity, and performance. • The project scope includes the design, build and installation of all supporting devices, operating systems, networking gear, software, and data radio network to implement a CAD and AVL system on up to 80 articulated and 370 conventional buses. The project scope also includes the implementation and integration of sub-systems including Interactive Voice Response (IVR), voice radio network, up to 131 electronic signs at terminals/ station stops, and up to 250 buses outfitted with automatic passenger counters. • The project will result in improved quality and safety of the public transit system in Brampton, Ontario.
