Replacement of existing rolling stock vehicles (16 buses) and purchase of new vehicles (3 buses)

This project involves the purchase of 21 conventional diesel buses: 8 replacement buses in 2020, 8 replacement buses in 2021, plus 5 additional new buses. This project also involves the purchase of up to 7 new supervisor support vehicles that will improve the transit system. These assets would allow the City of Windsor to replace buses that have exceeded their useful life. Furthermore, the purchase of 5 new buses and supervisor support vehicles will support their transit system. Ultimately, benefits of this project include financial cost savings from lower maintenance and operational improvements. A newer fleet also improves the customer experience and reliability of service.
