Description | The project will upgrade a watermain in Centre-Hastings, Ontario. The work involves replacing approximately 1,200 metres of watermain along St. Lawrence Street, separating the new watermain from existing sewer piping, reattaching side street interconnections, installing about 12 fire hydrants and around 12 main line water valves, and reinstating affected roadways and sidewalks. The project will fund improvements to local water pipes and water distribution, which will increase access to potable water by increasing the reliability and capacity of the transmission infrastructure. |
