Description
Description | The Project consists of replacing the Structure 043 over East Minniehill Creek (7th Line), including approach improvements, in the Municipality of Meaford, in Ontario. The Project scope includes the demolition of the existing structure and the replacement with a similar structure, including approach improvements. The Project aims to improve safety for bridge traffic and pedestrians, improve response time for municipal services as well as increase the load capabilities of the bridge. The 7th Line is a main transportation corridor for the western side of the former St. Vincent Township, and connects local municipal roads with Upper-Tier County roads and Provincial Highway #26. It’s a central corridor running adjacent to the Primary Urban Settlement Area of Meaford and provides a connection between the Settlement Area and the Rural and Agricultural Lands to the north and south. The replacement of Structure 043 is therefore important in maintaining these connections. |
