Replacement of the Birch Beach Bridge

The project consists of the replacement of the Birch Beach Road Bridge in the Township of Ashfield, Colborne, Wawanosh located in Ontario. The project scope includes removal of the existing bridge and spillway crossing Griffins Creek on Birch Beach Road and replacement with a wider culvert, potentially a precast/cast in place box culvert. The work also includes improvement of the vertical and horizontal alignment and widening of the roadway approach; and installation of guiderails where necessary. The project aims to provide safe transportation route for vehicles, active transportation and agricultural equipment. It also aims to minimize downstream erosion.
