Replacement of the Levi Bridge

The project will replace the one-lane, 19.3 metre Levi Bridge with a new, two-lane structure in Mississippi Mills, Ontario. The work will involve removing the existing bridge, building new abutments with a superstructure topped with an asphalt surface, installing new railing and guiderails, and re-grading and re-paving the approaches. The project will improve bridge safety and reliability, support better traffic flow, reduce service interruptions and remove existing load restrictions. In addition, the wider bridge will accommodate farm equipment, lower operation and maintenance costs, and extend the life of the asset.
