Replacement of two 125 horsepower conventional aeration blowers with one 150 horsepower magnetic bearing blower at Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)

This project will see the replacement of two existing 125 horsepower conventional aeration blowers with one 150 horsepower magnetic bearing blower. This upgrade will optimize operations of the Regional Waste Water Treatment Plant, while providing significant reductions in energy consumption. Original timeframe for these works was scheduled for 2021, and as a result of this funding the project can now be expedited, allowing optimized operations and earlier realization of savings, which can be passed on directly to the end-user.
