Replacement of Waste Water Sewer Main Line (forcemain) from Ontario Street pumping station approximately

Rehabilitation of the Township’s wastewater system by replacing the forcemain from the main sewage pumping station to the treatment lagoon will help ensure the uninterrupted conveyance of sanitary sewage from the majority of the connected users in White River (residential, commercial and institutional users). This will improve the reliability of this aged and failing infrastructure (the Township has dealt with numerous breaks in this forcemain in recent years) and help keep sewage from potentially surcharging the sewage pumping station and backing up into buildings where it would present a public health and safety issue. The system serves approximately 600 residential users in addition to commercial and institutional users (e.g. food service, elementary school and medical center).
