Description

Description

Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) organizations have demonstrated the ability to provide high quality and stable jobs, to expand into new sectors and to innovate in response to social needs. This is the case in Italy where the number of jobs in the social economy has increased thanks to policies supporting social enterprises. Spain is undergoing effective regulatory process while in Tunisia, the Assembly of the Representatives of the People adopted the bill on SSE on 17th June 2020. Palestine and Jordan are currently undergoing a national reform to regulate SSE. Partners from these countries, who were involved in different ENI CBC MED projects tackling social inclusion, want to upscale the results of these projects to enable the co-production of municipal services with local SSE agents. It also wants to continue the communication and policy dialogue initiated by the 5 capitalized projects to keep advocating for legal and institutional reforms and policy innovations aimed at supporting emerging sectors of SSE, as well as the concepts of “co-production” and “social economy".
