Description | An existing EU wide working definition of Islamophobia/anti-Muslim hatred is transferred to and agreed upon in the German and Austrian context. - The necessary infrastructure to report and register cases of anti-Muslim hatred is extended and developed further. Activities • WP 1: Project management • WP 2: Discussion and adaptation of working definition from EU-level to the German and Austrian context • WP 3: Establishment of a standardized system for reporting and documenting cases of anti-Muslim hatred • WP 4: Development of reporting tool and central database • WP 5: Communication and dissemination activities for project contents and target groups Type and number of persons benefiting from the project • NGOs/CSOs active in the area of combating anti-Muslim hatred in Germany and Austria (approx. 150 directly and up to 350 including the ones reached through contacts) • Individual and potential victims of anti-Muslim hatred (1000 being reached directly and up to 500.000 indirectly) • Awareness raising among the general public (1,5 mio.) • Academics and Experts (around 130 being reached directly and up to 200 including indirect contacts) • Policy Makers (200 in Germany and 300 EU wide) through policy papers and a dissemination event in the EU parliament Expected results - WP2: Agreement on a common working definition of Islamophobia/anti-Muslim hatred - WP3: Definition of common standards for discrimination documentation among central NGOs - WP4: Creation of effective tool and measures to address manifestation of hate crime incidents - WP5: Increased awareness of anti-Muslim hatred and crimes in Germany and Austria Type and number of deliverables to be produced • 1 consensus document among relevant stakeholders on EU working definition of Islamophobia • 1 manual for reporting and documentation standards • 1 guide on data workflow • 1 electronic reporting tool • 1 report on learnings from the pilot phase • 1 working document of the study, • 1 Roundtable with 15 |
