RWE has commenced the repowering of its Muel wind farm in the Aragon region near Zaragoza. The site’s 27 ageing turbines, totalling 16.2 MW, will be replaced by three 6.6 MW units, increasing overall capacity to 19.8 MW. Initial construction has started, with commissioning scheduled for the end of 2025.
