Turkon-MNG Elektrik Uretim ve Ticaret A.S. [Turkey], founded in 2006 under a 50-50 percent partnership of TURKON Holding and MNG Holding, commissioned the Resadiye-3 Hydroelectric Power Plant, a 22.92MW greenfield project on the Kelkit river in Tokat province, in November 2009. The project received a 49- year production license from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) in April 2007. Final design, preparation of technical specifications, and detailed design engineering and consultancy services were carried out by Dolsar. There was no publicly available information on how and when the project secured financing. In the absence of such information, the project’s commercial operations date (November 2009) was used as a proxy for the financial closure date. Total investment was ESTIMATED at 22.92MW x 2.5 million per MW (average for ECA), is $57.3 million.
