Research and Productivity Council - Ventilation Upgrades

This project consists of increasing air cleaning and upgrading the ventilation system in New Brunswick’s Research and Productivity Council (RPC) buildings, in Fredericton, NB. The existing HVAC infrastructure is aging and in need of upgrades to meet codes and ensure employees safety. The buildings remained open and fully operational during the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to provide essential testing services for the two provincial health networks in New Brunswick, the National Department of Defense, Government of New Brunswick and the public, etc. The project consists of increasing upgrading the ventilation system in the Research and Productivity Council buildings in Fredericton, NB. The scope of work includes upgrades to the HVAC of two existing buildings to address code compliance issues and eliminate air pressure issues. Improvements will also include upgrading the laboratory control systems and installing structural reinforcement of existing structures to support the rooftop loads of equipment.
