Description
Description | RE-SEARCH ALPS project consists in a tool to support the systemic goal to enhance innovation ecosystems is to know and map Laboratories and Research Centers in the Alpine Macroregion. This knowledge is extremely valuable, since scientific and technical laboratories, research centers, innovation centers (both public and private) are pillars of the endowment for the supply of scientific and technical knowledge to the society. They constitute an asset to support economic and social development. Data on those infrastructure are valuable to develop tools for users (enterprises, public administrations, universities, service centers, among others) that are complementary in industrial policy measures supporting SMEs in using knowledge-intensive services and research activities provided by labs in the area. At present there is no systematic information to address those issues in the EUSALP countries. EUSALP support to the RE-SEARCH ALPS project will also provide a robust testbed for its extension to other EU countries. Relevant interactions with Elsevier will provide support for further integration of relevant data. The project will allow to support the research and development process to know: - what the laboratories and research centers do, - where they are located, - where excellence emerges, according to research fields / themes and numbers (active researchers, published papers, won prizes, running EU projects, gotten patents, etc), - people working in a specific center and determining its excellence, - network of relations they highlight in their websites. The project is strongly based on the CEF Building Blocks for data translation and user identification. In collaboration with the consortium, a number of Public Administrations, acting as data providers and application users, is included in the consortium, thus guaranteeing the maximum coverage of the dataset and a high quality and usability of the data and tool. |
