Description | The Project consists of the construction of a reserved lane on the Pie-IX Bridge and tie-in actions on access ramps (north and south) on the Laval side. The Project is one component of a larger ARTM project for Pie-IX Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). The ARTM has, however, delegated interventions on the bridge to the Ministère des Transport du Québec (MTQ, Quebec’s department of transport), which is already conducting major rehabilitation work on key structural elements of the bridge. Once completed, the work will greatly improve the capacity, accessibility and quality of public transit in the area. |
