Residential Property Development Setback Exception Request

Builder James Casey requested a zoning setback exception for a residential project on a double lot in Galveston. The original site plan included a four-foot wrap-around deck encroaching into an aerial easement, which was removed and the house position adjusted. However, a corner of the house still encroached on setback requirements. Casey requested the board to grant an exception based on a precedent of a nearby property with a ten-foot setback.
