The objective of the Landscape Restoration Project for Mali is to increase adoption of climate smart landscape restoration practices and access to income earning opportunities. There are four components to the project, the first component being institutional support and capacity building for landscape restoration and climate resilience. This component includes three subcomponents: human and institutional capacity strengthening, climate informed territorial planning and development, and conflict reduction strategy. The second component is the investments in landscape restoration and communities' resilience to climate impacts. This component includes two subcomponents: restoring landscapes and ecosystem service and improving local livelihoods resilience. The third component is the coordination, monitoring and evaluation. This component includes two subcomponents: coordination, project management and communication, and monitoring and evaluation. Finally, the fourth component is the contingent emergency response.
