Description
Description | Providing a comprehensive micro-learning programme and digital resources, the REACT Academy aims to strengthen teachers’ capacity for uninterrupted learning in the face of disasters. By offering structured training, immersive e-learning, and materials focused on disaster risk reduction, psychosocial support, and digital literacy, REACT equips educators with the skills and confidence to handle crises throughout Europe. In doing so, it seeks to foster a new generation of resilient teachers capable of supporting learners and sustaining quality education even under challenging circumstances. To achieve this objective, REACT identifies specific skill gaps among teachers and student-teachers, develops accredited e-learning modules with digital badges and promotes practical strategies for psychosocial care and digital readiness. This approach ensures educators to embed relevant content in their classrooms with long-term impact. REACT also highlights cross-border collaboration and teacher mobility, forming a sustainable Community of Practice where educators share knowledge and resources, thus contributing to a broader European resilience agenda. Organized around seven interlinked work packages, REACT proceeds from initial context and competence analyses to the development and piloting of tailored micro-learning modules, culminating in policy recommendations for a more disaster-resilient European education system. Strategic dissemination actions engage educators, institutions and policymakers in ongoing workshops, seminars, and collaborative networks. By fostering digital innovation, psychosocial wellbeing and cross-border cohesion in post-disaster teaching; REACT aspires to establish a more resilient and future-oriented teaching community across Europe. |
