Project RISE aims to provide support in building and reinforcing innovative and resilient ecosystems and advice in the identification of investment projects through 3 less developed regions in Bulgaria, Slovenia and Portugal. RISE will directly contribute to the green and digital transition and smart manufacturing in the less developed regions by focusing on Efficient and Sustainable Manufacturing, Bioeconomy and Smart technologies, in the field of Industrial Modernisation and on Bioenergy, Solar and Sustainable buildings in the energy field The project aims to bring on board relevant expertise from 3 transition and 2 developed regions. The RISE project is build on 5 major pillars: Focus on innovation for less developed regions; Providing support in key areas; Identification of shared S3 areas; SMEs in the centre of activities and developing a Pipeline of relevant projects. Given the above, the overall objective of the project is to accelerate the deployment of innovation building, promoting the drivers and investment needed for sustainable and successful interregional cooperation. RISE will provide its support by engaging the quadruple-helix ecosystems and raising the capacity of less developed regions to successfully participate in interregional cooperations (including, but not limited to, for Strand 1 or Strand 2a calls).
